Although we do not service split systems, we can look at it whether it is electrical or the unit is tripping  and work out if its located inside the unit.

• How are your split system quotes calculated?

Our quotes are all-inclusive and cover labour, materials, and the required electrical work including certificates and warranties. We consider the unit size, the distance between units, and the complexity of the electrical run. We guarantee no hidden cooling costs, and approval for anything beyond the initial quote – additional costs are avoidable if we have all the information on your dwelling and needs before the day!

• Why should I use an electrician for my AC install?

Split systems require a dedicated electrical circuit and connection to your switchboard, which only a licensed electrician can legally and safely perform. We handle the complex electrical side and the unit installation, ensuring a compliant, seamless job.

• Do I need a council permit for the installation?

Generally, no permit is required for standard residential split systems, but we always comply with local regulations regarding placement and noise. We ensure the installation meets all necessary standards without any extra fuss for you.

• Can I buy my own unit for you to install?

Absolutely! We can install most Australian-approved brands (Daikin, Fujitsu, Mitsubishi, etc.). If you haven’t bought one yet, we can help you choose the right size and model to meet the cooling/heating required for your space. Angus or Tom can provide this recommendation over a phone call.

• Where is the best place to put the indoor unit for maximum efficiency?

Optimal placement is key for efficiency!

We assess your room layout, the indoor unit should be high on an interior wall for best airflow, without being obstructed by furniture. This maximises airflow and ensures even temperature distribution across the entire space for superior comfort.

While the outdoor condenser unit must be placed in a spot with good ventilation and clearance, ensuring easy access for future servicing and efficient year-round performance.

• How do you handle the drainage from the outdoor unit?

Proper drainage is essential to avoid water damage and pooling. We ensure the drain line is correctly routed away from your home’s foundation and into an approved disposal point (like a stormwater drain or a dedicated garden bed) to keep your property dry and compliant.
